Our Hands at Work
Since June 2015, our Chapter has been working to construct a pedestrian bridge for a small community in Boca De Cuiria, Cocle, Panama. The bridge will span over a small river that flows through the community. Currently, residents travel into town by traversing the river by foot or by horse. This poses great danger to their safety and has resulted in injuries to several residents in the past. Since initiation of the project, our Chapter has performed preliminary research, traveled to the region to perform a site assessment, and has completed design of the bridge. The next stage is to raise funds for the implementation and construction of the bridge.
